Hobart Airport is located 17 kms east of Hobart’s CBD, Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia operate daily services. Flying times: From Melbourne- 60-75 minutes, From Sydney- 2 hours, Brisbane-2 hours 45 minutes. From the airport there are taxis and bus services to connect you to the city. Launceston Airport is located 12km south of Launceston’s CBD, around about a 15 minute drive. Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Australia operate daily services into Launceston: from Melbourne the flight is 45 minutes, Sydney 1.5 hours, Brisbane 2.5 hours. Flights from other parts of Australia connect you through Sydney or Melbourne.

By Ferry
Getting to Tasmania, you will need to cross Bass Strait via passenger ferry with or without your vehicle.
